Steamed Chicken Breast with Sunflower Oil and Herbs

Tender Steamed Chicken Breast

Healthy and delicious steamed chicken breast finished with fragrant sunflower oil and fresh herbs. A light, protein-rich dish that's perfect for any meal!

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 chicken breasts (about 500-600g)
  • 4-5 tablespoons CRAFT OIL Fragrant Sunflower Oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or cilantro), chopped
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare a steamer or use a pot with a steaming basket.
  3. Bring water to a boil in the steamer.
  4. Place chicken breasts in the steamer basket.
  5. Cover and steam for 15-20 minutes until chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 75°C/165°F).
  6. While chicken is steaming, prepare the herb oil: mix minced garlic, fragrant sunflower oil, and chopped fresh herbs in a bowl.
  7. When chicken is done, remove from steamer and let rest for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Slice the chicken breast into thin slices.
  9. Arrange sliced chicken on a serving plate.
  10. Drizzle generously with the herb and garlic oil.
  11. Serve warm with lemon wedges if desired.

Tips:

The secret is adding the fragrant sunflower oil AFTER steaming! This preserves all the delicate flavors and nutrients of the craft oil while keeping the chicken moist and tender. The warm chicken absorbs the herb oil beautifully, creating a light yet flavorful dish.

Variations: Try different herb combinations like basil and oregano, or add a squeeze of lemon juice to the oil. You can also add finely chopped green onions or chives.

Serving suggestions: Perfect with boiled potatoes, rice, or a fresh salad. Great for meal prep - can be stored in the refrigerator for 3-4 days and enjoyed cold or reheated gently.
